“One of the things I used to do a lot in my twenties was drive at night. I’d wake at 3am for no reason and it would be the only way to calm my head.

I think I did it a lot as I felt like I had no one to share my negative thoughts with. I have to acknowledge I would have had a lot fewer problems if I just spoke to a therapist or friend.

The line ‘stuck between stations’ is a nod to The Hold Steady. Thanks guys for always helping me out on the hardest journeys.”

WASTING TIME was released 3 years ago TODAY!

Recorded as a three piece at @southseasound in 2022 and then mastered by @katietavini , we were in a state of flux after losing a core member of the band. We chose to ride on autopilot and attempted to record some songs working towards a series of singles we would release month by month over the course of a year much like The Wedding Presents ‘Hit Parade’.

The idea was later scrapped midway through the sessions after finding Louis to fill the noisy guitar void - We had new material to write and a new songwriting core to flex. In the meantime we ended up releasing what we had recorded as four separate singles released throughout 2023.

The rest of the tracks were left in demo purgatory, or reworked for our upcoming full length. Since this track has been released we’ve played it live pretty much every show, and has become a real favourite of ours. We hope you love it too.
